ADD and TRAG Partner Up
The ADD team has Georgia on our minds! ADD has partnered with the Towing and Recovery Association of Georgia (TRAG) to ensure our valued customers and TRAG’s members have the information and tools necessary to comply with the state’s newly modified tow statute
This year the Georgia legislature adopted changes resulting in a major overhaul to the towing statute. There are changes to the notification letter and timeframe during which letters must be sent. ADD and TRAG have partnered to provide training classes on the new abandoned motor vehicle process that takes effect September 1, 2019.
ADD’s DirectPost-Office (DPO) certified mail product for Georgia has already been modified to allow customers in the peach state to efficiently meet the new language and timing requirements. And ADD’s DMV123 real-time motor vehicle record service has been approved by the Georgia DOR as a preferred record inquiry provider. That means ADD’s customers have all the tools they need to meet the new letter requirements in one cost-effective account!
Training classes kicked off on August 10 in Smyrna, Georgia. The next training is set on August 27 in Flowery Branch. More classes will be scheduled as needed. TRAG has worked with the GA DOR to develop the new AMV Cookbooks that will cover all the new changes that will be effective September 1, 2019. Class size is limited. Lunch and the new AMV Cookbook will be provided to attendees so be sure to reserve your seat today!
For more information about the training classes, please email TRAG at treasurer@trag.org or Michele Lee at mlee@add123.com, or call 850-877-8804.
